Stripe Issuing

Stripe is only available for business use. In order to apply for Stripe Issuing, you will need to have an active business website that you can link for them. This can be an actual website, Instagram business page, eBay or Grailed seller page, etc.

Stripe requires you to have funds in your account by topping up prior to spending that money. You can think of Stripe as a separate bank account in a sense. It's not like Privacy where you connect it to a bank account and it automatically pulls funds from there. It is similar to Revolut in this regard.

Supported Sites

Currently Stripe Issuing cards work on every site. This includes the following:

  • Supreme ✅

  • Footsites ✅ - Can be shared across each Footsite.

  • Yeezy Supply ✅

  • Adidas ✅

  • Nike ✅

  • Shopify ✅

  • Finish Line/JD Sports US ✅ - one card can be shared between both sites.

Billing Profile Guidelines

  • Name: any name can be used.

  • Address: line 1 and 2 of address can be anything.

  • Zip Code: some sites allow any zip code to be used. If it does not work when using a different zip code, then it has to match what is registered to your card. Supreme is strict on zip code matching, while other sites such as Yeezy Supply have allowed a mismatching zip code.

Stripe Issuing Card Pricing

Creating cards with Stripe Issuing isn't free. Prices for creating a card are as follows:

  • 10¢ per Virtual Card

  • $3 per Physical Card

In addition to card creation fees, there is also a fee on each transaction after spending $500k with Issuing cards. Each transaction will incur a 0.2% + $0.20 fee per transaction after spending more than $500k with your cards.

Merchant Locks

Stripe Issuing cards do not merchant lock anywhere. You can reuse cards at any store you want to and share them amongst footsites, fnl/jd, shopify sites, etc.

Card Creation Limits

Stripe currently does not have a card creation limit in place. However, you will be charged 10 cents for each virtual card created. Additionally, you can only top up to $2500 per transaction and $5000 per week. You can request a top up limit only if you have a good reason to go beyond this limit.
