Location Spoofing

Introduction to Location Spoofing

Spoofing your location is simply moving the GPS location of your mobile device to a different location. It’s essentially like your phone teleporting to any location you want it to.

When you spoof your location on your device, any app that uses your GPS on your mobile device will see the location that you spoofed your device to, instead of the location you actually are.

Purpose of Spoofing

Spoofing your location is generally done for drops that are locked to a specific location.

For example, if Nike is doing a SNKRS Pass at select stores only, they can use your device's GPS location to determine if a Nike location near you might have available inventory. Generally, Nike only does these Passes at select locations in New York and Chicago. If your GPS location on your mobile device is not within a 25 mile radius at these stores, then you will be unable to reserve for pickup.

In order to be eligible for pickup, you have to trick Nike into thinking you are within the eligible radius to the pickup locations by spoofing your location to be near the store you’d like to pick up your reservation from.

This isn’t just limited to SNKRS Passes. You can use this for SNKRS Stashes as well, or anything that requires your mobile device to be in a specific location. Note that a Pass is in-store pickup only, and a stash is purchased through the app and shipped directly to you.

Spoofing Tools

  • 3uTools

  • iTools

  • AYCD

  • Fake GPS (Android)

Selecting The Tool To Use

  • The spoof tool you are using will have to support the iOS version you are on. Spoof tools from various devs sometimes are not always updated to the latest iOS version.

  • If you own a spoofing program already, and it is able to spoof your location just fine, then there’s no need to invest in an additional one, as ultimately they all do the same thing. It mostly just comes down to the GPS spoofing being updated for your version of iOS.

  • 3uTools is also a free option and can be downloaded at any time.

  • For Android, you do not need to purchase a spoofing tool. You can simply download a free app on the Google Play store called Fake GPS Location that is linked in Spoofing Tools.

  • Note that in some cases, it can be possible to download malware with iTools. Ensure that when you are installing iTools that you do not choose to download additional programs that it will ask you to install. Personally I don’t recommend to use 3uTools or iTools for this reason, and would choose an alternative spoofing tool.

Requirements for Spoofing

  • If spoofing a non jailbroken iPhone, you will need iTunes and access to a computer with a spoofing program.

  • If you are spoofing an Android phone, you can just do this by using a free app called Fake GPS. No computer is required for this method.
