🎟️Ticketmaster
One of the biggest release sites for concert tickets
Ticketmaster is one of the most prominent release sites for concert tickets. Releases on this platform will often use a queue system to allow customers access to the purchase page. Your place in the queue is down to luck, but there are things we can do to maximize the chance of success here. Entering the queue
Ticketmaster queues will generally be preceded by a "pre-queue". This is just to allow people time to log into their accounts and be on the queue page, ready for when the main queue opens. Usually, this pre-queue will go up 15-30 minutes before the main queue.
Once the main queue is live, you will see your number, this is your place in the queue and denotes how many others are ahead of you. As a general rule, if your number is under 5 thousand you will get tickets and most likely have a larger selection to choose including cheaper seats (these tend to be the first to sell out).
When entering the queue multiple times, it's important to ensure each entry is on a different Chrome user and IP address. This will help to ensure Ticketmaster doesn't block you. It is also extremely important to not refresh the queue. If you are entering the queue on mobile, ensure your phone/tablet is not in battery saving mode as this can cause the screen to dim, which will act as a refresh and you will lose your place in the queue. Buying tickets
Now that you are past the queue, you will see the ticket selection that is available to buy. This will be displayed with a graphic showing where seats are available. It's generally best to buy the cheaper tickets, but for each specific event, the best options will always be posted in the staff call.
Be aware that Ticketmaster will employ a dynamic pricing strategy for some releases. This means the more people in the queue, the higher the prices for tickets can go. Because of this, it is highly important to triple-check the price of your tickets before buying. Once you have added your tickets to the cart, you should have between 5-10 minutes to check out, in this time the tickets you have in your cart are reserved and cannot be taken by someone else. This affords you valuable time to check resale prices / available elsewhere before making a decision to buy. Verified fan tickets
Some artists will opt to use Ticketmaster Verified Fan release method for some of the tickets to their shows. This can be a really great way to get your hands on tickets without going through the general sale and queue.
Tickets released via verified fans are essentially raffled to entrants. Random accounts who signed up will be chosen and emailed with links to buy their tickets early and without queue. Depending on the event you might be able to register for multiple tour dates.
Verified fan signup is currently only available for residents of the US and Canada. In order to register with a verified fan, you will need a Ticketmaster account that is both email and phone verified, you can easily create multiple accounts to enter into the verified fan releases to increase your odds. It is recommended to register and enter these accounts with different Chrome profiles and IP addresses as we mentioned in the queue section. This will help to avoid detection from Ticketmaster.
