Server

A virtual computer with good specs and a good connection used to run bots. Usually located in the same location as a websites server that you are botting and the same location as your proxies. Most sneaker botters use a server instead of their local machine, as this allows the user to run more tasks/bots. All while using a powerful computer with lightning-fast internet!

AWS

"Amazon Web Services", a virtual server provider. See https://amnotify.gitbook.io/amnotify-1/botting-resources/servers/aws-setup-guidearrow-up-right for a full tutorial on setting up a server through AWS.

Proxies

Virtual IP addresses used to mask mass amounts of requests coming from your bot on one IP address, needed to avoid IP bans. See Datacenter (DC) Proxies and Residential (Resi) Proxies.

Datacenter Proxies or DC Proxy

Faster than residential proxies but easier to be banned by sites. Usually purchased in packs of 10, 25, 50, etc for intervals of 1-30 days of usage.

Residential (Resi) Proxies

Slower than DC proxies but more reliable on sites with high bot protection. Usually purchased by the gigabyte and function similar to a phone's data plan. More usage uses more data quickly and you will run out. For example, 1gb, 2gb, 4gb plans and they usually expire after 30-60 days depending on the provider.

Delay

Millisecond intervals used on bots.

Monitor Delay

How often your bot refreshes a page or website to monitor for a new product.

Retry Delay

How often your bot retries to complete a task after encountering an error.

Keywords (KWs)

A way that bots can monitor for products on a website, usually used with + and - symbols. For example, "+yeezy, +foam, -boost"

AMNotify provides FREE Slots/ACO to all members via our dashboard. Keep your notifications on for #announcements to be informed of when we are offering the service.

reCAPTCHA v2/Captcha

Anti-bot measure that many sites utilize. Usually "I am not a robot" and selecting pictures out of a 3x3 grid. Detailed documentation on reCAPTCHA can be found here: https://amnotify.gitbook.io/amnotify-1/botting-resources/captchasarrow-up-right

reCAPTCHA v3

Invisible captcha that you do not need to solve. It is different from the reCAPTCHA v2 you would normally see on Shopify sites and Supreme where you have to click the corresponding images in a challenge to complete the Captcha request. When you visit a site that has reCAPTCHA v3 enabled, you are automatically assigned a score from a range of 0.1 to 0.9. Also known as a Trust Score.

Trust Score

Score associated with your Gmail account that detects if you are a robot or not. reCAPTCHA learns by seeing real traffic on a website. For this reason, the trust score that is returned from your Gmail Account and IP combination while testing, may differ from the scores that are actually returned when going for a drop on Yeezy Supply for example.

hCaptcha

A new Anti-bot measure that many sites utilize, with the number growing. Similar to ReCaptcha, you will be presented with a "I am not a robot" challenge to select pictures out of a 3x3 grid. Sometimes HCaptcha will ask a question or have you draw a box around a specific object or thing BEFORE you can solve the challenge.

Hard Ban

Permanent ban from a store.

Soft Ban

Temporary ban, usually lasts 5-10 minutes

Shopify Checkpoint

Shopify's own antibot, usually pertains to a captcha challenge.

Shopify Queue

Essentially a wait time before having the access to purchase a product on Shopify sites. Shopify Queue gets formed once a certain amount of traffic on the website forming an imaginary line. The more people looking to purchase a specific product, the longer the length of the line will be.

Proxy Protection

A form of Antibot that measures the quality of you IPs/Proxies. If your proxies are not high-quality, your connections will be limited, and you will not be able to access the website through those low-quality proxies. This protection can be used by Shopify websites, in addition to some custom websites.

Datadome

Security system for websites that only allows a certain amount of requests from a single IP.

Perimeter X or PX

Human verification system implemented by websites like Walmart or Hibbett in order to audit your ip address to determine whether you are a bot or human. Usually consists of a "Press and Hold" button challenge to verify yourself as human.

Akamai

Antibot protection that monitors your behavior and the amount of connections made to the website within a short amount of time. Connections can include refreshing the page, adding to cart, etc.

Splash Page
